Last week one of our projects the conversion of Lynemouth Power Station from coal to biomass fuel reached a major milestone. The onsite material handling facility was completed with the stations fuel supply systems all fully operational. CK21 were involved in the original scoping of the project, assisted in project management and acted as Principal Designer. We have also undertaken structural and civil engineering design work through out the station along with CDM and health and safety duties.The Principal Contractor SRM noted that over 1.1m hours of onsite effort were expended, with 22,500 tonnes of concrete and 1,600 tonnes of reinforcement utilised in the six 'slip form' silos with 55km of cabling in the whole of these works.

Well done to all on the successful completion of a large and complicated project right on the North East coast with all the weather conditions that this location can include!!
